Excavator is consisting of a boom, dipper, buckets and cab on a rotating platform known as the house. The house sits atop an undercarriage with wheels or tracks.
All functions and movements of an excavator are accomplished through the use of hydraulic oil, with hydraulic cylinders and hydraulic motors.
Excavators come in a wide variety of sizes. The smaller ones are ca lled as mini excavator. The larger ones are called as maxi excavator.
Excavators are used in many ways. Some of them are excavation, digging of trenches, foundation and holes, forestry work, material handling, river dredging, mining, demolition, snow removal, brush cutting and general grading.
